Here are the crafts that we offer.
This bowl is one I made years ago, it was made by turning on a lathe. Now I make bowls with a CNC machine which allows me to make bowls which are other than round, go see the DogPaw bowl.
Currently boards come in three different types, edge or face grain, end grain and onion. A customer came to our booth at the Farmers Market and asked if I had smaller boards because she had purchased a regular board but did not like the smell cutting onions left behind so – Onion boards.
I understand that some people younger than myself have a hard time reading an analog clock. If so, you can consider it Wall Art.
Coasters are made to stop those annoying guests leaving marks on your shiny furniture but can also be interesting talking points.
Critters are the second thing I started making after Board #1. I was on a video call to my daughter in England and her husband came into view playing with his phone on this wooden whale. My immediate thought was “I can make that”. Now we have critters.
Another lady came to the booth at the Farmers Market looking at our wares and asked if I made Lazy Susans. I explained that I did not but was interested in the idea. I then suggested she came back next week and I would try have one ready. She never came back but I have sold quite a few since.
Just experimenting with AI applied to the CNC machine and carved a small memorial plaque to my old dog Snoopy. If anyone has had a Beagle and remembers the running and barking they may wonder why I would want to do this.
This is a catch-all for stuff people want to hang on their walls. When a customer buys a nice cutting board and says it is way too pretty to use and want to hang it up, this does not qualify as Wall-Art and will stay under Boards.
Honestly it took me months to find a design for an Owl that I could cut so here it is.
