Trivets are larger versions of Coasters and typically between 7 and 8 inches across (in at least one direction). They are mostly Black Walnut except of course the Fat Pig which is usually Maple or some other light wood.
Here is a Maple Fat Pig Trivet because we tried a thin pig and it looked too skinny.
As almost everyone like the Tree of Life we decided to make a Trivet one as well.
The Trivet Turtle came first until we figured out how to squeeze all that detail into a coaster size.
It took a long time to find and create an Owl design but i think this looks OK.
